Hi, I am Juliann Steinbeigle-Butt (Julie S-Butt),

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana. I am a National Certified Counselor and Child Emotional Behavior Specialist.

I have a Master Degree in Counseling Psychology from Governors State University, Illinois with a minor in Substance Abuse Treatment. I graduated as a member of Chi Sigma Iota a counseling academic and professional honor society.

I started my professional career as a Coordinator of an Adolescent Substance Abuse Program in a community agency. I developed policy, procedure and programs in conjunction with the Department of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Agency. I worked with Adolescents who were at risk of developing Addictions due to personal and family difficulties. I also worked as a counselor of a middle school to help children who were not able to function effectively in a school setting.

I worked as a Director of an Adult Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment Program. I supervised clinical staff as well as overseeing all aspects of program compliance and development. I worked in conjunction with other community resource centers to help individuals maintain and continue to develop a healthy sober lifestyle.

I worked as a licensed clinical professional counselor for children, adults and families to overcome emotional behavior difficulties. I met with children who were referred for services by the Department of Children and Family Services, Juvenile Court, Schools and Psychiatric Care Hospitals. I worked with adults who were working to develop and maintain a healthy emotional and physical lifestyle.

The adults and children I worked with had various degrees of emotional behavior difficulties and came from many different environmental systems of care.

These are the places I found my heart and passion to specialize as a child counselor, adult inner child healer to help individuals develop positive emotional behavior.

As a licensed clinical professional counselor I believe in the philosophy of person-centered care. This emphasizes the quality of a person's life through freedom of emotional pain, behavior difficulty, healthy self-expression, positive and constructive relationships, prevention and education.

Person centered care puts the person at the center of attention and asks how she/he can reach their full life potential and goals, along with preventing future obstacles.
