I am okay the way I am right now.
Reminding yourself of the moment you are experiencing right now is a grounding process that helps to settle your mind and allows you to feel a sense of peace and calm. It is a technique that is used to release symptoms of anxiety, including racing thoughts, racing heart, and/or shortness of breath. Taking note of the things surrounding you in the moment is a reality check that gives you the opportunity to continue to move forward with confidence and self-support.
As you go through your day today and you encounter situations that bring you to the frazzle point, look around you and repeat as often as you need “I am okay the way I am right now” until the frazzle disappears. Take note of everything that is surrounding you. Take deep breathes. Breathe in the confident thought that “I am ok”, hold your breath and the thought for 5 counts, then breathe out the fear and anxiety that is holding you hostage. If you take the time to ponder this thought I’m sure you will find if you take things one at a time “You are okay right now”. Being okay with yourself takes practice every day and sometimes one minute at a time.
Have a Great Day and Believe in Yourself!
