You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.
Sometimes change feels like an unsurmountable task. Doing something different brings all engrained habits to the surface to alert you. Warning signals are sent out both mentally and physically to ask you if you are sure you want to make the change. It is your courage that will keep you on the course of acting in a new decision because most new things create fear. But remember that is only because you have not developed an adaptable reaction to it yet. If you don’t incorporate new action / new thought you will never be able to enact and adapt to the best you.
As you approach new situations today take a deep breath and remind yourself that growth takes courage. Repeat an encouraging mantra to get past the anxious moment and continue on with your clear choice of change. Repeat to yourself “I got this”, “I am worthy of this”, or “change is good”. Repeating encouraging words signals your “fight or flight” brain that everything is ok and there is no reason to retreat or be afraid.
