Look around every day this week and be aware of all the beauty that surrounds you. Be amazed at the miracle of life, be awed at nature’s gifts, and be inspired by the sunshine, rain or stars. Practice receiving nature’s greatest gifts with gratitude and grace and you will begin to recognize more freely the gifts of opportunity, happiness and friendship as they present in your life.
Most emotional distress is attached to a previous time and not the present moment. We have created negative beliefs based on those past experiences. Build new beliefs by practicing mindfulness techniques daily. This practice will allow you to let go of past opinions by acknowledging and accepting the beauty and strength within you today.
"Heal Your Child's Heart."
Mindfulness is an individual practice that decreases stress and allows you to focus on what needs to be accomplished. This simple task incorporates breathing with taking notice. All you have to do is breathe in, hold as you acknowledge your surroundings and body sensations, state a positive thought, then release any tension or distress you are experiencing with your exhalation breath. Repeat this 2-3 times to decrease negative thought and emotional stress as they occurs.
